What is a CSA?
Community Supported Agriculture
programs
provide food consumers
with
a direct connection to a local
food
grower, while providing farmers
with
a stable market for their products.
Consumers
pay a subscription fee to
receive
a weekly share of the farm’s
fresh,
quality produce.
Members
also acknowledge the
challenges
of farming, such as
extreme
weather events, which can
damage
crops and lower yields.
They
accept the risks and understand
that
such circumstances are part of
producing
food. Some CSA farms require
each
member to work 4-10 hours. We have
no
work requirement.
